Mark Juston argues that maybe there's some interest or intrinsic value in a theory of the fully just society. But why do we need that for practical purposes? All we would really need is a theory and this comes from his social choice background. He gives us very plausible examples of how we can compare certain states of society with respect to which is juster than which without using any theory of full justice. And since he only gives us examples, what I call eyeball examples, you see that when you can just...
