What Is It All About?

Masons believed they had a special connection to the world of the dead. They were marked by some sort of uneven ness or symmetry between their legs that caused them to limp or shuffle. And so i think this element that you see in the masonic initiation probably goes back to roots in european folklore, especially in scotland. The idea that there are certain shamonic people who have a special ability to travel to theworld of the dead and turn into a living person is part of what's going on here.
