Introduction
The United States ended its involvement in the Vietnam War 50 years ago today, January 27, 1973. The treaty called for the withdrawal of all U.S. forces still in South Vietnam within 60 days and the release of all American prisoners of war. That wasn't the end of the war though; North and South violated the agreement and went on fighting until the Communist North won the war two years later. To mark the occasion of the Paris Peace Accords, we're bringing back our episode on two of the most renowned chroniclers of the history of the war in Vietnam: Neil Sheehan and David Halberstam.
