The Holocaust and the Jewish Character
I tend to think that fictional characters are in some ways more real than biological human beings. I would say that Sherlock Holmes is more real than the- Charles Dickens. Even if God is only a remarkably persistent character in a bunch of old folktales, he's not going to help you out when you hear the cancer. And it's one of the few places where I just stepped out and said what I think. It's D.W. Yabro who says maybe it's only poetry, but it's poetry to live for.
