Gimley is the son of antony gimley, a sculptor and viken persons. Both his parents are artists; he was keen to 'find my own discipline' Growing up you'd go to exhibitions at least once a week - it was n amazing experience. Use to constantly be exposed to inspiring ideas. And i guess one exhibition andi went to yu, probably aged 16, that was by the group gelatin. Whe were this austrian collective of artists who do these extraordinary installations. They're effectively squatting and overlooked or disused space in the city. To me, it feels like it, it borders on an artistic practice.
