The History of Biblical Jewish Literature

Some scholars say Jude's not teaching us that these things did indeed happen. Does that resonate with you at all or does it feel like, no, we should really take this as actually historical? I think scholars who tend to reach those conclusions have a good instinct in wanting to preserve the uniqueness of scripture. But ultimately I want to keep looking back at the text and see is there any indication in the text itself that suddenly we've gone from talking about biblical examples to treating them as this happened.
