In 1597 he bought the biggest house in Stratford upon Avon, which had maybe as many as 30 rooms. In 1603 his theatre company became the King's Men, the official performers for James I of England and James VI of Scotland. He stopped writing in 1613, because this was the year that his theatre, the Globe, burned down. So why do people still love his work so much? Well, it helps that there's loads of things to enjoy,.
