What Will the Other Side of the Galaxy Look Like?

In future, we are going to hve a moon base or a base on mars that will be caused by no from the earth aiming itself at that place and transforming that planet. What we can't possibly predict is what parts of the galaxy will look like if people get there. Some science fiction writers have talked about the possibility of silica life forms. There's good reason to think they won't exist. But if they did, if they were able to evolve, evolution brings knowledge into reality in such a way that it can transform it in ways that are unpredictable.
