In the 19th century, in Britain, this was the height of empire building. A lot of the soldiers were having problems because of sexually transmitted diseases. This led to the Contagious Disease Act of the 1860s. It meant that women who were suspicious could be brought in and subjected to a compulsory inspection if they had a sexually transmitted disease. And it's very interesting to think about why it's Caesar in particular when there have been many critical assassinations across history.
