Money is a medium of exchange, and so we make it a metaphor for so many areas of our life. And on the other hand, money is a measure of value. We use money to figure out, well, did we spend our time wisely or did we waste years in that relationship? You know, are we living a rich life? Did that decision pay off? What are the emotional costs of this? The point isn't the languaging here. It's the fact that, as john locke, the philosopher, said, is the images and ideas in men's minds are the invisible powers that govern them.
