Stage Three, the Productive Life
Most of us don't move on to stage four of our own volition. Most of us are moved, often against our will, or at least we go kicking and screaming by god,. The journey inward is aptly described by its title for it is a deep and very personal inward journey. It almost comes as an unsettling experience, yet results in healing for those who continue through it. For some people it looks like therapy or spiritual direction. For other people, just a lot of prayer and silence and solitude. And most of us want to make our home here. Sign me up for stage four. That sounds amazing.
