The Psalms Give Us the Words to Express Our Emotional Response to God

The Psalms not only give us the ability to express our emotional response to God, they shape ourotional response to God. And as an aid to gratitude, I can't think of anything better than the Psalms as even just a way to give words to your own gratitude. So we don't want to say that gratitude and sorrow or grief are opposed to one another. We can do both. This isn't fair or right and I shouldn't be suffering this way, but God is so good to me and I know and expect that he has and he is and he will rescue me.
