There's no benefit to just buying the tesler in big coin. If you sold the big coin, got u s dollars and then and pot had a capital gain event through that sale, and then bought it, it would be exactly the same. That rule probably restricts the use case of big coin as an actual currency. And for a lot of people, they would have held it for like, very short terms, so they probably would have copped some short term capital games - which can be quite severe.
