Supermassive Black Hole in the Center of Every Galaxie
We think that at the center of every galaxy, there's a supermassive black hole as well. And so if you've got gas for star formation, that could be used by the black hole instead to grow bigger. But finding it observationally is really difficult and disentangling it from all the processes that could have affected a galaxy in the past is really, really difficult.
