Ron DeSantis is running for governor of Florida. Trump currently has a 20 point lead on him in the polls. The bulk of DeSantis's support comes from higher income old guard Republicans, who have been warm to Donald Trump since he began his presidential campaign. "We were expecting him to really take off as soon as he started campaigning and he hasn't," said former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.
