The Role of Media in the Real World
I think in a way the poop emoji is a kind of it's become a kind of satire of a dystopian technological present. So I really, yeah, I appreciated being able to sort of have that. And that's the circularity right where you're really moving going back to that original theme with his master's voice. This year my project is basically working on a book on Japanese Twitter novels. There's also some serialized Twitter novels that I look at, but primarily I'm looking at ones that claim to be a novel in 140 characters. They're almost more like jokes than they are novels or poetry some people call them. In many cases they read like fake news does with the difference
