Is the US the Pinnacle of Capitalist Law?
25% of the world's entire prison population is centered in the US. The argument that, you know, it's bad implementation and not a systemic issue goes out the fucking window when it's also not working at the place where based on all, like, logic, it should be working most well. A lot of people don't want to see howseless people or people struggling with addiction or mentally ill people. And I think it impacts politics and other places. People go, oh, this is a bad part of town now or whatever. This whole system has to make these people invisible because if they aren't made invisible, then people might change social policies which lead to innumerable people living on
