The Right and the Left Hemispheres Attain the World Differently

Each of the hemispheres attends to the world in a different way. The left hemisphere sees fragments, it sees stasis and decontextualized fragments which are susceptible to being manipulated like building blocks. But the right hemisphere is seeing a completely different world where nothing is ever completely separate from anything else. It sees an embodied world, not a disembodied world and it sees one in which everything is ultimately unique. We have a trick of the mind which groups things together which is helpful but that generalizing quality masks the fact that everything is in fact completely unique," he says.
