I don't think anyone expected him to do that. It's one of those big, big obvious things in front of your face. They stay in bed together holding each other's hands up even after they decide to call it quits. That was a devastating moment. I feel like everyone's had one of those moments when you break up with someone and then nobody leaves kind of thing. Nobody flounces out or says something dramatic and slams the door. How do you manage to make a slap at these characters and also be like, oh, how sad, how deeply profoundly sad?
