The Art of Akhenaten

Akhenaten instructed his artists to depict him and his family with elongated faces, necks, and heads. The art shows off maybe Akhenaten's most important religious belief though, that Akhen was a god that only he and his family could understand. At some point in his reign, Akhenaten went beyond just being an artist, a city builder or a man with unusual religious beliefs. He actually attacked the other gods. A Heretic is someone who goes against established religious beliefs.
