A Schoolmaster's Eulogy to Hamish Dawson

Hamish Dawson lit up history and school mastering for many years. He put his heart and soul into it, with a passionate loyalty to the academy. And when I read that about the rector referring to those machines, I just saw WTF, you know, what on earth was going on? The headmaster had no need to make that eulogy, and he chose to do so. This is where this goes beyond tragically common incidence of abuse within close institutions like schools. It argues astonishing confidence on the part of these men who were committing serious crimes in front of an audience.
