The Relationship Between Language and Communication

The relationship between language and really communication as a whole, whether we're talking about gestural language or very complex grammatical language. I often think that language is composed of our categorical discrete ways of thinking along with more mimetic pictorial ways of thinking. And so the structure feels like it's not necessary for communication, but they do it nonetheless.
