The One Thing I Would Never Sit on Feedback That Long

A common pattern i heard, and i interviewed 60 people for my book lets talk, was that managers would kind of sit on feedback. They wouldn't avoid it, but they would just wait until the end the year conversation. I interviewed one person who said that a year went by and he hadn't heard any critical febeck. He thought he was great. And review time came, and his manager reached behind and pulled a binder off af her shelf to show him what she had written about him in previous months. So painful, rightand and you probably are thinking, i would never sit on feedback that long. But all too often we do sit on it longer than we mean to.
