Russia remains, to this day, the large country with the highest rate of alcohol dependency. Pro-lefty revolutionaries mad about kleptocracy and orthodox Christian conservatives who were mad about drunkenness allied against Tsar. All of these completely different Russians were on the same team all of a sudden, allied against the Tsar. But then again, I'm American, so I would think that wouldn't die.
