I would actually expect people to get barely burned out on this hyper-meridocratic, hyper-transactional model of dating where finding someone who you want to marry and actually getting married turns into something kind of close to the Ivy League admissions process. It just ends up setting a lot of people up for disappointment. There's just a point at which having a lot of options and being able to explore all those options means that you can make a lot of unfavorable comparisons to whatever option you end up picking. So in that sense, marriage is not like the actual wedding is not this moment where you celebrate the culmination of anything. It's actually the moment where you throw a big party to recognize
