Indigenous people have known for thousands of years what modern science is just beginning to understand, that good health is all about relationships and living with others in harmony. Good health is about hospitality, reciprocity and care. By disturbing our traditional relationships with the and one another, colonialism has disturbed our internal acologies as well. So many people's knowledge systems have been purposely suppressed and destroyed through colonialism. I feel it is critical for the future of human survival on planet because there are ways of knowing that are better than the ones we're living under now.
