The Inversion of the Yield Curve
Weston: The inversion is pretty insane, but at least for the front end, it's really not like that out of line with Fed policy. I don't think we have more than a couple of historical comparisons since the Middle Ages when it comes to a yield curve that is as inverted as right now. After those yield curve inversions, the latest being in the 70s, we had sort of an explosion of investments in the industrial space. Whether the analogy makes any sense in today's environment is a bit debatable. But in any case, I tend to think that this is a warning signal, that this is not the kind of financial environment that we've been living in for
