Qualitative Educational Research in the 1970s?
Positivism was very, very strong in educational research from the late 60s through into the 70s. But in the mid 70s to late 70s, qualitative educational research revolution was happening. And that did include detailed ethnographic studies, detailed case studies. This is in mainstream educational research. For me, that was a very healthy period of time and a major shift in the field of comparative education.
