Doing Things for Others Is More Satisfying Than Virtually Anything You Can Do

We're conservative creatures. Even if we're liberal in temperament, there's naught we can't tolerate that much uncertainty. And so our identities, r functional identity, regulates your emotion. But you do that in concert with other people, doing things for other people is more rewarding than virtually anything else you can do. It's actually quite stunning how satisfying that is.
