Are You Reading Your 20 First Century Views?

i think it's useful to study how other people have looked at scripture in the past. It makes us think, ok, there are so many ways to interpret and understand scripture. i was fascinated to find out that in early christianity there were more diverse views than i had initially assumed. We read scripture to strengthen our faith, and we read scripture to come to know god better. I think if we're willing to sit in ambiguity and willing to sit with that there's possibilities and ways to read this,. then i think that really helps us connect better with god and get into a better place ourself.
