Should There Be a Federal Reserve?
Unemployment spikes very quickly right before a recession, and it takes a lot longer for it to come back down. So I do think that the Fed has gotten a lot of criticism. But if you just let market forces actually work, yeah, they're going to be periods of time where you need somebody to pull a circuit break or slow the tide.
