The Three Takeaways From Angela Merkel

I mentioned Angela Merkel in the book and today because she seems to be the rare case at least in politics of a modern leader who displays this. I think of the corporate leaders probably Satya Nadella at Microsoft, the Microsoft CEO comes to mind now. Nobody is truly a leader to leave things as they are. If you really are a leader, you have to disrupt and heal what exists and replace it with something better. It's fundamentally much harder than being a populist and telling people what they want to hear or maintaining certain aspects of the status quo.
