i don't fall fully into either of these, but i'd rather have the one where they're on the side of freedom. I do think the best argument for conservatism was made by chesterton and his sceno constat weewed. It discussed as before, chesterton's fence, which is, before you tear something down, you'd better know why it was put up to begin with. So even if you have this kind of legal system where major laws or major concepts are overturned back and forth every four years, that's a real kind of opportunity for a disaster.
