Love Your Enemies

There's no more radical prescription in the Bible than to love one's enemies. Love your neighbor as yourself, that's tough, that's really tough, but he's still your neighbor. It's important to remember that at the time all this is going on and we have a different view of it now. We know how it turns out. The people following Martin Luther King at this time don't know how things are going to turn out. All too few people realize how slavery and racial segregation has scarred the soul of the black man.
