What Do You Do if You're a Sheite?

The failure of arab peoples to establish secular tona states is entirely due to western exploitation. Western powers exploited internal divisions and took advantage of tribal dynamics, but those weaknesses had to exist in order to be exploited. In a society that finds itself being exploited and colonized by outside powers, what do you do? What happens? Do you just give up? Just agree to keep fighting amongst yourselves and being colonized and exploited forever? We know how that turned out. You're going to find something else. And in the middle east, that something else has been religion. A hundred years into this process, and 14 years into the war on terror, we're used to hearing that there's
