Malcolm's faith was shaken to the core when he discovered who Elijah Muhammad was and what he'd been doing. He learned from these women that Mr. Muhammad was berating Malcolm in private, certain that one day soon, Malcolm would betray him. When Malcolm called JFK's assassination, chickens coming home to roost, Mr. Muhammad silenced Malcolm for 90 days. So with all of this betrayal going on around him, he decided to take a trip to Mecca. But when he arrived, he wasn't permitted to visit Mecca right away. Officials wanted to investigate this American so-called Muslim. They took his passport and he had to wait like a man stranded in an ocean. Unacquainted
