Laws restricted the type of clothing a person could wear and you couldn't mimic the alite class. Restrictions were placed on the length of a shoe's toe, limiting the length according to your income and position in society. The width was also limited according to the wearer's status in society. By the end of the fifteenth century, the pointy shoe its said, it eventually gave way.
