Jocko: I just love all these paradoxes because yeah, like you say, they're so rich and so much room to play. The discipline gives me the structure to be free. That's a very straightforward line, but it resonates deeply. You probably understand this being an athlete, but anyone who's pursued mastery to a really deep degree understands that discipline is a big part of that. And once you get those systems in place, it gives you the room and the space to breathe and be flexible and creative in every other aspect of your life.
