How to Protect Your MySQL Cluster From Spamming
Every hit on the front page ended up fetching 250,000 videos. So one of the things that we wrote was, well, how do we protect against this? Yeah. The way we did this was, again, we had this proxy,. Every time it got a query, it would check if the same query is already executing. It will just wait for that result. And then it's kind of like batching the requests. Like it. Or consolidating. On the front page. Everyone's getting it. At any given point, if that finishes, another one will start. But all other thundering heard requests would await. And we'll just share the result.
