The g seven, which is the rich large countries, to co ordinate on what is called a global minimum tax. It's an effort to say corporations should pay certain minimum amounts of tax no matter where they operate. In other parts of the world, in the last five years, there've been raft of what are called digital services taxes. But i think it's capturing our imagination about some of the transcendent questions that are fuelling our politics,. Are we too unequal? What's fair? Who is owed what by whom?
