When you have a slight depolarization at baseline, right, that resting member potential has gone a little bit closer to zero. That leads to inactivation of some of these sodium channels and the membrane actually becomes less excitable. And we see this by the quote unquote V max. That's the like the velocity of increase in phase two, like just how quick that moves up. In hyperkalemia, when it's severe, remember that you see that wide in QRS complex.
