Since 2011, world trade as a fraction of GDP has declined 5%. In the United States, trade since 2011 has declined 20%. There's 30% less trade going on today between the U.S. and the rest of the world than there would have been if our long-term trend had continued. The taxes on marijuana in California are so high that it makes more sense to buy from illegal street dealers. It's actually cheaper to buy illegal marijuana in California because the California government just can't help it.
