The Unreal Launch of a Car on Mars

The car was bolted onto the stage of the rocket it had to be because when it was going around the earth it still had to do another big blast off. It hasn't been made entirely clear to me whether or not the car has been separated from the rocket after the rocket burn happened. SpaceX are deliberately being obscure about it and this is where you see the PR coming into things more.
