We don't exactly know what the rnaut is, but estimates vary between two to five. One patient can potentially infect two people when having contact. When you put these different numbers into a modelling system, it gives you drastically different outcomes with regard to how quickly the number of cases can spread in a given population. The only thing that we really have control of at this point in time is how aggressively we socially isolate. We should deftly be using that tool as much as possible. And i hate to say beyond, but there are suggestions from people who are a lot more intelligent and a lot more informed that there may be a prolonged quarantine period.
