When I was in medical school, I actually thought I was going to do surgery. But after scrubbing into those surgeries and doing like 60 of them in my third year of medical school,I realized this isn't for me. It's not human enough in terms of interaction with the human because your patients asleep most of the time. And I saw the value in family medicine where if someone comes in with an issue, a, I'm playing detective, I'm trying to figure out what they need but then at the same time is once I make an intervention and fix the problem, I get to live life with this person.
