The Effect of Affirmative Action on Admissions Policies
A new study shows Harvard admissions policies amounted to affirmative action for the children of the 1% whose parents earn more than $611,000 a year. If you are in the lowest, lowest 10th, you have a slightly above average chance of being admitted. But if you're in the 95th to 99.9, 0.1%, you are wildly more likely to be admitted to these top elite schools. That's the affirmative action that's going on. It's for rich kids.
