The Consciousness Economy and the Future of American Democracy

I don't mean to denigrate the fact that people have great reason to be concerned you know I was thinking yesterday I was sort of making a mental list of all the things that are predicted to collapse within the next 10 years. There is this simultaneously it's as though we care way too much and don't care at all which is a strange paradox right because if you care about everything do you actually care? It's just like with our material possessions to use an analogy if everything is precious to you nothing is precious toYou. We're also so concerned about these things that well quite often it's full concern it's memetic concern  and therefore in order to be a right or correct
