Fixed Income in 2022: A Tough Year
We are still in a hawkish central bank regime. The Fed's not done hiking and many central banks like we just saw with the Bank of England are not done hiking. Money market funds have risen to almost $5 trillion. I wouldn't be surprised if the amount of money and money markets falls from, you know, north of $5 trillion to $3 trillion. When that happens, it's going to have a dramatic effect on all markets.
