The Importance of Developing Expertise

Technology gives us the ability to do lots of things that we don't understand anything about. And so it enables us to shoot ourselves in the foot more easily, but there's really no substitute for expertise. It's not just the technology, it's having the understanding of what's going on that enables you to use the technology intelligently.
