What I Loved About Being a Journalist at Reuters
I always had this principle that if I thought someone was interested in other people, probably would as well. And the sort of challenge in Kyrgyzstan in a way is that there wasn't very much that was happening politically or indeed economically. So really, journalistically speaking, I sort of fumbled around and pleased myself because I was my own editor. It's interesting what you say about Reuters; I was a stringer for Reuters in West Africa. But one thing that resonated with me from what you said is this difference between being at the far end of Reuters and doing kind of exciting stuff and galvanizing around foreign country.
